Peyser Associates, Inc. offers a unique and rewarding internship program for individuals who are interested in engaging in a professional experience in Washington, D.C.

The internship program allows young adults to explore the federal legislative process through various activities designed to provide a holistic approach to Washington politics. Interns attend legislative hearings, press briefings, meetings, and other events that are sponsored by Congress and the Administration.

Unlike other internship programs that require tedious office tasks, Peyser's program offers interns a healthy balance of responsibilities. Interns become an integral part of the Peyser team both inside and outside of the office. The staff at Peyser Associates, Inc. relies on interns for substantive information and accurate reporting of the events they attend. A Peyser intern may sit in on a Senate committee hearing in the morning and then be at a coalition meeting in the afternoon. The opportunities are endless.

Former Peyser interns have gone on to work in the federal government, both on Capitol Hill and in the Administration, and in the private sector, especially for government relations and lobbying firms. Two former interns even joined the professional staff at Peyser Associates, Inc.

Peyser Associates, Inc. offers three internship terms:

  • Fall: September - December
  • Winter: January - May
  • Summer: June - August

A stipend is offered.
